Laurie retired in 2008 as one of three managing partners at Boston-based Wellington Management, which oversees more than $900 billion in assets for around 1,500 institutions in more than 40 countries. Laurie joined the company in 1976 upon graduation from Tufts University, where she earned a BA in economics. In retirement, Laurie has served on the Tufts University board of trustees and investment committee and is currently chair for The Nature Conservancy–New Hampshire. She chairs the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s investment committee and is on the board of Cummings Foundation. Laurie actively supports several organizations focused on conservation and women’s financial independence.
