Misty Parsons serves as HCS Project Manager-IT at Appalachian Regional Healthcare System/UNC Healthcare at UNCH since October 2022, following an extensive tenure at Appalachian Regional Healthcare System beginning in July 2012, during which roles included Project Manager and Operations Manager. Misty manages finances, oversees department productivity, and implements process improvements through LEAN methodologies while supervising facility managers and collaborating on projects to enhance patient satisfaction. A significant contribution includes relocating key medical units and designing electronic dashboards for reporting standards. Earlier experience at Bank of Granite Corporation involved customer service and auditing operations. Education includes an MBA in Project Management from Liberty University, a BS in Exercise Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology from Appalachian State University, and an AA from Catawba Valley Community College.
