Brendan Mysliwiec is a seasoned professional in federal policy and government relations, currently serving as the Director of Federal Policy for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy since April 2019. Prior to this role, Brendan was the Associate Director of Government Relations at American Rivers, focusing on hydropower, public lands management, and fisheries. Brendan has also held positions on the United States Senate Committee on Indian Affairs as Counsel and Legislative Assistant, where work focused on judiciary, civil rights, and environmental issues. With experience as a Legal Fellow and Intern, Brendan has contributed to various legal and policy initiatives throughout a career that began with roles such as Legal Clerk in the Ohio Senate Minority Caucus and Extern at the Supreme Court of Ohio. Brendan holds a Master of Public Administration and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kenyon College.
