Emily Mayo

Emily Mayo is an accomplished professional in the non-profit sector with extensive experience in tourism and recreation development. Currently serving as the Damascus Trail Center Supervisor at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy since November 2020, Emily previously worked as a Tourism and Recreation Development Specialist for Friends of Southwest Virginia, focusing on creative economy initiatives across a 19-county region. Emily's earlier roles include management positions at Adventures on the Gorge, where responsibilities spanned from overseeing aquatic facilities to guiding zipline tours and leading team-building activities. Educationally, Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Park Administration from Eastern Kentucky University and an Associate of Arts from Ashland Community and Technical College.
