Matt Drury is a skilled resource management professional with extensive experience in ecological restoration and invasive species management. Currently serving as Resource Management Coordinator at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy since May 2016, Matt focuses on rare plant monitoring and non-native invasive plant management. Previously, Matt held the position of Associate Director of Science and Stewardship, overseeing restoration ecology initiatives in the Southern Appalachian region. Additional experience includes roles with the North Carolina Forest Service and various positions with The Nature Conservancy, where Matt's expertise encompassed wildland fire management, forest health, and habitat restoration. Matt holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a Sustainable Forestry Concentration from Warren Wilson College.
