André Tortolano

André Tortolano has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. André started their career at IBM in 2008, where they worked as a Mainframe Operation specialist, responsible for monitoring and controlling Mainframe z/OS systems. During their tenure at IBM, they had daily communication with level 2 supports and used English as a communication language for international support.

In 2012, André joined SimWorx Engenharia P&D as a C++ Development Intern, where they gained experience in C++ development.

In 2013, André continued their internship at Daitan Group, specializing in Test Automation.

Later in 2013, André joined Venturus as an Android Engineer Junior, where they worked based on the Scrum methodology, focusing on requirements analysis and development for Android applications. André also participated in planning, systems design, prototyping solutions, and code reviews.

In 2015, André was promoted to Android Engineer at Venturus, with responsibilities including requirements analysis, development, and maintenance of Android solutions. André worked with best practices and patterns to build solid architectures, and collaborated with others in easy-to-develop and scalable solutions. André also engaged in activities like project estimation, task planning, project brainstorming, project architecture, web development, and quality assurance.

In 2019, André joined CI&T as a Software Development Engineer, where they continued working on software development projects, contributing their skills and expertise to the team until May 2021.

In 2021, André joined PicPay as a Senior Android Developer, where they played a key role in Android development until December 2021.

Currently, André works at Appcues as a Senior Android Engineer, utilizing their extensive experience in Android development to contribute to the company's success.

André Tortolano completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from UNIESP - União das Instituições Educacionais do Estado de São Paulo, from 2007 to 2011. In 2019, they also obtained a Cambridge English Advanced certificate from ILSC Education Group, where they focused on studying English.
