Matt Harney

Matt Harney is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor with over 15 years of experience in the software industry. As the founder of Cloud Ratings since January 2023, Matt aims to enhance customer ROI transparency in software investments. Matt is also the chairperson and founder of SEAL Awards and APPEALIE, organizations recognized for environmental advocacy and SaaS awards, respectively. Previously, Matt led the "Meet A VC" initiative at SaaStr and acquired the Tabby Awards, paving the way for the establishment of APPEALIE and SEAL. Matt's early career included key positions in private equity with Iron Creek Partners and Ares Management, as well as investment banking at Citi. Matt holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Duke University and has also studied at The London School of Economics.
