Samantha Chan

Samantha Chan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in risk, audit, and compliance across various industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Contributor Engagement and Success at Appen, Samantha also established and led the Risk, Trust & Safety team, focusing on embedding risk and ESG initiatives. Previously, Samantha held roles such as Head of Audit & Risk, where responsibilities included engaging multiple stakeholders globally and reporting directly to the Audit & Risk Committee. At Macquarie University, Samantha was the Risk and Assurance Manager, promoting a risk-based culture. Prior roles included Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where Samantha led internal audit services, and earlier positions included accounting and management roles in different sectors. Samantha holds a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Human Resource Management from UNSW.
