Brynjar Gretarsson

Brynjar Gretarsson is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in engineering leadership and software development. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Engineering at AppFolio, Inc. since December 2011, Brynjar has also held roles including Director of Engineering and Senior Software Engineer. Prior to AppFolio, Brynjar was a PhD candidate at UC Santa Barbara from 2005 to 2011, and completed a software engineering internship at Kaseya in 2008. Early career experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at the Icelandic Banks Data Center from 2000 to 2005. Brynjar holds a PhD in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, a B.S. in Computer Science from Háskóli Íslands, and participated as an exchange student at Central Washington University.
