Izzet Safer

Izzet Safer is an accomplished software engineering manager with extensive experience in leading teams and driving innovative solutions across various industries. Currently, at AppFolio, Izzet manages the Platform Communications team, focusing on communication services using SMS, email, chat, and voice. Previous roles include managing software engineering teams at BlueVoyant, Atlassian, and DoorDash, where Izzet led initiatives in security incident detection, incident communications, and merchant onboarding. With a strong foundation from IBM Canada as a Staff Software Developer and various roles in early career internships, Izzet has consistently demonstrated leadership in developing and enhancing software platforms, particularly in API enhancements, UI modernization, and the implementation of cash-back solutions. Izzet holds an MSc in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia and a BSc in Computer Engineering from Koç University.
