Lanny Gov, Ph.D. has over 10 years of experience in the biotechnology industry. Lanny began their career in 2006, working as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at UCLA under the mentorship of Dr. Benhur Lee and Dr. Richard L. Lanny'sresearch resulted in co-authorship on a publication in a peer-reviewed journal. In 2013, they joined Keck Graduate Institute as a Bioscience Management Training Fellow. From 2009 to 2016, they worked at the University of California, Irvine as a Postdoctoral Scholar and Graduate Student Researcher in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. During this time, they were invited to present at international and local conferences and received multiple presentation awards. Lanny also had extensive primary cell isolation and cell line culture experience, as well as genetic manipulation techniques. In 2016, they joined Kite Pharma as a Senior Research Scientist and Scientist in T cell Biology. In 2020, they became a Principal Scientist at Appia Bio. Throughout their career, they have effectively mentored and trained 6 laboratory personnel.

Lanny Gov, Ph.D. earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine between 2009 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles between 2005 and 2009.
