Senior Consultant, Credit at Appian Capital Advisory

Carlos is Senior Advisor to the Appian Credit Strategies Fund based in New York. He is responsible for origination and transaction evaluation and assisting Appian's portfolio companies in their debt financing activities. With over 25 years of banking experience, Carlos has facilitated financing and

advisory transactions worth $42 billion in metals & mining, EV battery materials, energy and infrastructure. Before joining Appian, he was Managing Director and Head of the Americas for Metals & Mining Structured Debt at BNP Paribas, where he led some of the mining sector's largest and

most complex transactions.

Before his tenure at BNP Paribas, Carlos spent ten years in Citigroup's Global Project Finance team in New York, where he held various positions of increasing seniority in origination, execution, and portfolio management. Prior to his banking career, Carlos worked at FAM Peru, where he played

important roles in the company's corporate finance activities, including M&A, stock exchange listing, recapitalization, and project finance.

Carlos holds an MBA from the Simon School at the University of Rochester in New York and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
