Geoffrey Cohen

Geoffrey Cohen is the Senior Advisor for North America at Appian Capital Advisory. Geoffrey has over 17 years of experience in the investment banking industry.

Cohen started their career at RBC Capital Markets in May 2001, where they worked for five years as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions. Geoffrey then moved to Merrill Lynch in February 2006, where they served as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions for just over a year. In February 2007, Cohen joined Credit Suisse as Director of Investment Banking.

In January 2010, Cohen left Credit Suisse to join J.P. Morgan as Managing Director and Head of North American Mining Investment Banking. Geoffrey held this position for eight years before joining Appian Capital Advisory LLP in August 2018.

Geoffrey Cohen graduated with a BScE in mechanical engineering from Queen's University. Geoffrey then went on to earn their MBA in finance from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

They are on a team with Sandra Lamaro - Executive Assistant, Paul Schaffer - Principal, and Marcus Scholz - VP, Mining. Geoffrey Cohen reports to Michael W. Scherb, Founder & CEO.
