Rohit Girotra

Rohit Girotra has extensive work experience in the medical device industry. Rohit is currently serving as the Vice President of Product Development at Applaud Medical since February 2023. Before that, from October 2021 to February 2023, they worked as a Medical Device Consultant at Rohit Girotra Consulting. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of R&D at Smith & Nephew from February 2020 to October 2021.

Before Smith & Nephew, Rohit was a Director of R&D at Tusker Medical, Inc., a company they co-founded. In this role from March 2016 to February 2020, they were responsible for product development of the Tula System, an in-office surgical solution for treating chronic ear infections in children under local anesthesia.

Rohit also worked as an R&D Manager at Spirox, Inc. from June 2015 to February 2016. Prior to that, they held various roles at Acclarent, starting as an R&D Engineer from May 2008 to August 2009. Rohit then became a Senior R&D Engineer from August 2009 to December 2011, followed by serving as an R&D Manager from December 2011 to June 2015. At Acclarent, they worked on innovative projects related to ear surgeries, ENT surgical navigation, and other sinus procedures.

Rohit began their career as an R&D Engineer at Maquet Cardiovascular from August 2005 to May 2008.

Rohit Girotra started their education at Savitribai Phule Pune University in 1999 and earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2003. Rohit then went on to pursue further studies at Stanford University from 2003 to 2005, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
