Brian Vash

Brian Vash is an experienced biotechnology professional with a strong background in protein engineering and scientific computing. Currently serving as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Apple Tree Partners since September 2019, Brian previously held key roles at Elstar Therapeutics Inc. as Director of Technology Development and Director of Protein Engineering, where significant advancements in scientific computing tools and protein production methods were achieved. Prior to that, Brian worked at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, contributing to the design and purification of therapeutic proteins, leading teams, and developing novel delivery methods for protein therapeutics. Brian’s career began at esteemed organizations including Abbott, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and UT Southwestern Medical Center, all underpinned by a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Arlington.
