Matthew P. Jacobson

Matt Jacobson serves as a Venture Partner at ATP (Apple Tree Partners) since July 2023. Jacobson holds multiple leadership roles, including Interim Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder at Nine Square Therapeutics and Circle Pharma, Inc. Since 2002, Jacobson has been a Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, with a history of advancing through ranks to Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Additional commitments include membership on the Board of Directors or Scientific Advisory Boards for several biotech companies, including Deep Apple Therapeutics, Initial Therapeutics, Apertor Pharmaceuticals, Nereid Therapeutics, and Terremoto Biosciences. Jacobson's academic credentials include a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Chemistry from Stanford University.
