Ahmed Tewfik

Ahmed Tewfik is an accomplished AI/ML executive and academic leader, currently serving as the Machine Learning Director at Apple since 2021. With over 25 years of experience, they previously held the title of Cockrell Family Regents Chair in Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, where they made significant strides in faculty and student diversity and increased research funding within the department. Ahmed also contributed as the E. F. Johnson Professor of Electronic Communications at the University of Minnesota and has held various leadership roles within the IEEE Signal Processing Society, including Past President. Ahmed holds a ScD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
