Alan Yan is a seasoned professional in software development and instruction, with a robust background in both hockey officiating and technology. Alan began experience as a Hockey Referee with the Central Region Referee's Committee from October 2013 to August 2018 and later served as a Hockey Instructor for Calgary Flames Learn to Play in March and April 2018. Transitioning to the tech industry, Alan worked as a Lead Instructor and Instructor at Byte Camp in June 2019, followed by a role as a Software Developer at UBC Launch Pad from January 2019 to May 2022. Alan gained valuable experience as an iOS Developer at Nanoleaf and Robinhood in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
