Alan Yan

Alan Yan is a seasoned professional in software development and instruction, with a robust background in both hockey officiating and technology. Alan began experience as a Hockey Referee with the Central Region Referee's Committee from October 2013 to August 2018 and later served as a Hockey Instructor for Calgary Flames Learn to Play in March and April 2018. Transitioning to the tech industry, Alan worked as a Lead Instructor and Instructor at Byte Camp in June 2019, followed by a role as a Software Developer at UBC Launch Pad from January 2019 to May 2022. Alan gained valuable experience as an iOS Developer at Nanoleaf and Robinhood in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Currently, Alan holds the position of iOS Software Engineer at Apple since September 2022. Alan earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia between 2018 and 2022.
