Alex Sugarbaker

Alex Sugarbaker is a Senior Optical Systems Scientist at Apple, where they currently lead research efforts in optical systems. With a decade of experience in mechanical, electrical, and optical hardware, Alex has demonstrated expertise in complex system design and data interpretation. Prior to their role at Apple, they served as Principal Scientist at Elegen and Principal Physicist at AOSense, Inc. Alex also contributed to academia as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Stanford University, where they earned a PhD. Their foundational education includes a BA/BS from The University of Chicago.
