Ankur Gupta

Ankur Gupta serves as the Director of Maps Global Search, Data & Applied Science at Apple since April 2017, overseeing the turnaround of Maps discovery and exploration experiences and leading the development of GenAI-powered features. Gupta previously held key positions at Yahoo, including Vice President of AI & Search Platform and Senior Director of Mobile Search, where contributions included the introduction of AI bots and a mobile-targeted search platform. Additional experience includes CTO at Adknowledge, VP of Advertising Product & Technology at xAd Inc, and various roles at Yahoo! Inc, Amazon.com, Union Switch & Signal Inc, CoManage, and Schlumberger. Ankur Gupta holds an ELPP from the University of California, Berkeley, an MS from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
