Collin Campbell

Collin Campbell is an experienced leader in audio content and podcasting with a notable career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Director of Audio for Apple News since October 2025, Campbell previously held the position of Senior Vice President for Podcasting Strategy and Franchise Development at NPR from December 2023 to October 2025. At Columbia University, Campbell was an Adjunct Faculty Instructor from August 2017 to August 2023, teaching courses in audio journalism and advising master's candidates. Prior experiences include key roles such as Executive Editor at Gimlet while at Spotify (July 2019 - June 2023), Executive Producer of Original Content Development at Audible (April 2016 - June 2019), and Managing Director for Audio Content and Strategy at LAist (August 2013 - April 2016). Campbell's earlier career includes significant positions at WNYC Radio, where notable projects included developing Freakonomics Radio and contributing to The Takeaway. An alumnus of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, Campbell holds an MS in Journalism and has a BA in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
