Dane Brouwer

Dane Brouwer is currently a Haptics Controls Engineer at Apple since September 2025, following a PhD candidacy at Stanford University from September 2019 to September 2025, with a focus on Design Methodology, Mechatronics, and Controls System Design. Brouwer has extensive research experience, including work at the Biomimetics and Dexterous Manipulation Laboratory, where innovations in robotic interaction techniques were pursued, and various internships and research positions encompassing mechanical design and testing, particularly in haptic technology and bioengineering. Brouwer holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
