Eli Lopez

Eli Lopez is an accomplished editorial professional with extensive experience in leading and managing editorial teams. Currently serving as Editorial Lead at Apple since December 2024, Eli previously held the position of Senior Editor at CBS News from January 2023 to December 2024. Experience also includes a Summer Lecturer role at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism in mid-2024, and a significant tenure at The Washington Post as Senior Editor for Global Opinions from May 2018 to January 2023. Prior roles encompass positions at The New York Times, where Eli was both Editorial Director and a founding member of The New York Times en Español, and Senior Staff Editor from September 2007 to May 2018. Earlier career steps included Reporter/Copy Editor at The Miami Herald from 2004 to 2007.
