Eric Yang

Eric (Hung-I) Yang is a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, specializing in AI for video processing since August 2025. Prior to this, Eric worked as a Research Engineer at Helm.ai, where responsibilities included advancing generative AI and simulation pipelines for autonomous driving and developing scalable scene generation frameworks. Earlier experience as a Research Scientist at Meta involved tackling projects in infrastructure and sustainability through machine learning and physical modeling. Eric also conducted significant research as a Graduate Student Researcher at Stanford University, focusing on the Cosmic Microwave Background, and interned at Facebook on localization and mapping projects. Eric holds a PhD in Physics from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
