Gautam Muralidhar

Gautam Muralidhar is an experienced machine learning engineering manager currently leading the Photos Intelligence team at Apple, overseeing AI and ML initiatives within the Photos application. Prior to Apple, Gautam served as the Head of Machine Learning and Data at Epic for Kids, where a diverse team was built to enhance search and recommendation systems. Gautam's experience also includes a role as Director of Artificial Intelligence at NIO, focusing on AI advancements in autonomous driving, as well as contributions to in-car navigation as Principal Engineer in Data Science. Earlier positions include Senior Data Scientist at Pivotal, Inc., and Algorithm Engineer at VuCOMP, contributing to FDA-approved algorithms for cancer detection. Educational background includes a Ph.D. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
