Hossein Mousavi

Hossein Mousavi is a seasoned Senior Computer Vision Machine Learning Engineer at Apple since November 2019, specializing in video engineering and generative imaging for enhanced photo and video experiences. Previously, Hossein held roles as a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer and Machine Learning Research Engineer, where notable contributions included developing computer vision models for Cinematic mode on iPhone devices and shipping depth-estimation models for Portrait mode. Prior to joining Apple, Hossein served as a Research Assistant at Lehigh University, focused on visual navigation, reinforcement learning for image classification, and performance analysis of robotic networks. Hossein's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
