Hossein Mousavi

Hossein Mousavi is a highly experienced engineer specializing in machine learning and computer vision. At Apple, from November 2019 to July 2024, Hossein held positions as a Senior Computer Vision Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer, contributing to generative imaging and developing advanced computer vision models for the iPhone, including features like Cinematic mode and Portrait Preview. Prior to Apple, from January 2015 to October 2019, Hossein served as a Research Assistant at Lehigh University, focusing on visual navigation algorithms and reinforcement learning for image classification. Hossein also has teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Sharif University of Technology, where subjects included Automatic Control and Engineering Graphics. Hossein holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
