Jieyu Li is a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple since April 2023, following a significant tenure as a Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame from August 2016 to April 2023. During this period, Jieyu designed an indoor layout estimation system that integrated intensity camera and 2D LiDAR technologies for accurate semantic segmentation and reliable localization in challenging environments. Jieyu's experience also includes internships at SenseTime, where tone mapping algorithms for HDR images were improved, and at Facebook, where a novel isometric calibration pattern was developed to enhance camera calibration performance. Jieyu holds a PhD in Computer Vision and an MS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from the University of Notre Dame.
