Jonghoon J.

Jonghoon J. is a machine learning engineer at Apple since December 2018, specializing in visual intelligence for Apple HomeKit Secure Video. Previously, Jonghoon served as a deep learning engineer at Lighthouse AI from June 2016 to December 2018, focusing on 3D object tracking and classification using RGBD sensors. Jonghoon also worked as a graduate research assistant at Purdue University from August 2011 to May 2016, where research centered on improving the accuracy and runtime of convolutional neural networks for various platforms, including CPU, GPU, and FPGA. Jonghoon earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University in January 2016 and a Master’s Degree in the same field in January 2014.
