Joseph Rockne Starks

Joseph Rockne Starks is a Taxonomist and Data Quality Analyst at Apple, specializing in metadata strategy and data quality for Apple TV production data since November 2025. Prior experience includes serving as a Taxonomist and Information Architecture Specialist at ISACA, where Joseph managed a comprehensive taxonomy and implemented AI auto-tagging for digital assets, achieving high precision in data accuracy. Joseph also contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, focusing on digital asset management and taxonomy, and held internships at the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage. Joseph earned a Master of Science in Information and a Master of Music in Improvisation from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance, Jazz Studies from Bowling Green State University.
