Mingfei Zhang

Mingfei Zhang has a robust background in engineering and computer science, with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science focused on Solid State Physics, as well as a Joint Ph.D. in Materials Science and Scientific Computing from the University of Michigan. Mingfei began a career as a Visiting Scientist at General Motors, performing high-throughput DFT calculations to address magnesium corrosion. An internship at ITHAKA involved enhancing search quality within the backend search team, while a position as a Graduate Student Instructor contributed to the educational environment at the University of Michigan. As a Machine Learning Data Engineer at 3M, Mingfei worked on the backend of data and machine learning platforms utilizing Java, Python, and AWS. Currently, as a Software Development Engineer at Apple, Mingfei is engaged in AI and machine learning related to information intelligence and search.
