Negin Nikafrooz

Negin Nikafrooz has a robust background in mechanical engineering, specializing in control systems and robotics. Negin served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Tehran, mentoring undergraduate students in Control Engineering and Dynamic Systems. As a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Michigan, Negin contributed to various research projects, including the design and fabrication of a wrist rehabilitation robot. Negin's industry experience includes a role as a Software Development Engineer at Apple, where responsibilities involved designing and optimizing thermal and power control software for consumer electronics. Prior to this, Negin held internships and teaching assistant positions, further solidifying expertise in dynamics and control engineering. Negin earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
