Nolan Lau is a Senior Firmware Engineer at Apple, specializing in embedded engineering that bridges hardware and software development. Previously, Nolan led a team at Lime Lab, guiding the architecture and build phases for a prominent European company and serving as the point of contact for external vendors and clients. Prior to that, Nolan contributed to the introduction of a gestural prototype of Apple CarPlay at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show while at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America. Nolan's educational background includes a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they also worked as a tutor and undergraduate researcher. Outside of engineering, Nolan is passionate about paddling and has coached a successful young team in Northern California.
