Tao Pan

Tao Pan is a seasoned professional in the field of technology, currently serving as a Senior Magnetic Technologist at Apple since March 2016, specializing in magnetic problem solutions. Prior experience includes a role as Director at Western Digital from June 2003 to March 2016, where Tao led a design team that successfully delivered multiple generations of writer head designs, significantly contributing to the company's multi-billion dollar profits. Earlier positions include Waveguide Design Manager at Symmorphix and Engineer at IBM Almaden Research, focusing on optical devices and magnetic technologies, respectively. Tao holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Physics from Peking University.
