Xiaoyuan Tu

Xiaoyuan Tu is a distinguished technologist at Apple, specializing in machine learning algorithms and sensor technologies for mobile devices. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto and an MSc from McMaster University, Xiaoyuan has contributed significantly to the field through roles at Stanford University, SGI, and Intel Corp. As a co-founder and product manager at AiLive Inc., they developed AI middleware focused on applied machine learning for the entertainment industry. Currently, at Apple, Xiaoyuan leads the design and implementation of motion and location technology algorithms, including innovations for AirPods and the Apple Watch.
