Yuanzheng Gong

Yuanzheng Gong is a highly experienced machine learning research engineer and tech lead manager at Apple since February 2021. Previously, Yuanzheng held the position of senior software engineer and roboticist at X, the moonshot factory, from August 2016 to February 2021. Yuanzheng served as a research assistant at the University of Washington, focusing on 3D vision for surgical robots, from September 2012 to August 2016. In addition, Yuanzheng was the VP of research and development at Tiyun Technology LLC, working on structure from motion and related technologies, and held an internship as an algorithm engineer at Pelican Imaging, specializing in 3D reconstruction. Yuanzheng earned a Ph.D. in robotics from the University of Washington and holds a master's degree from Iowa State University.
