Bill Vandivier, DO has a diverse work history in the healthcare field. Bill started their career as a Resident Physician at Broadlawns Medical Center from July 2003 to July 2006. Bill then joined MercyOne Medical Group Central Iowa, where they held several positions including Family Practice Physician from August 2006 to October 2015, Ambulatory Medical Informatics Physician from September 2012 to March 2018, President MercyOne Medical Group Central Iowa from September 2017 to April 2021, and finally Chief Physician Executive MercyOne Central Iowa from March 2018 to April 2021. In 2021, they joined Insight Health Partners as a Physician Healthcare Consultant. Currently, they serve as the Chief Medical Officer at Appleton Area Health since October 2022.
Bill Vandivier, DO completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology at Grand View University in 1997. Bill then pursued further education in the field of medicine and obtained their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from Des Moines University in 2003. After completing their medical education, they obtained Board Certification in Family Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine in July 2006. Bill also holds a certification in Medical Informatics, which they acquired from the American Board of Preventive Medicine in October 2017.
