Steven focuses on improving visibility online, creating a mobile-friendly process, and utilizing reporting to find solutions to hiring problems. Steven developed over 54 job descriptions, acquiring skills in search engine optimization and job advertisement writing. Steven collaborated with multiple department managers to ensure the messaging aligned with the job requirements while attracting potential candidates.

Before TrueNorth Academy, LLC, Steven was a Senior Recruiter and Recruiting Trainer at NewDay Financial LLC. Steven learned the importance of networking and sourcing methods to generate leads for sales professionals, making over 100 calls per day to build a pool of over 3000 individuals interested in career changes.

Steven's professional journey also includes roles at the Missionary Training Center as an Advanced Language Instructor and Training Specialist, and at Infinity Insurance as a Bilingual Claims Administrator.

Steven J. Smith, SHRM-CP, PHR earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with an emphasis on Financial Services from Brigham Young University between 2002 and 2005. Prior to that, they completed their High School education at Cheyenne High School in Las Vegas, NV from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their academic background, Steven also holds various certifications, including the Inbound Certification from HubSpot obtained in August 2016, the SHRM-CP from SHRM obtained in 2015, and the PHR from HR Certification Institute - HRCI obtained in 2008.
