Elvira Braun is an experienced education professional and software engineer with a diverse background in technology and non-profit sectors. Currently serving as a STEAM educator at Applied Computing Foundation since December 2019, Elvira empowers middle and high school students by teaching them to code in various programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python, while also promoting technology literacy and understanding of artificial intelligence. Previous roles include software engineer at percipient.ai, co-founder and developer at Giving Is Joy, and multiple positions at Intuit, including Sr. Software Engineer/Tech Lead, where Elvira facilitated agile processes and led cross-functional teams. Elvira also has extensive experience with web development and software engineering from earlier positions at EFI, where leadership skills were cultivated while managing multiple engineering teams. Elvira holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Software Engineering from Santa Clara University.

Applied Computer Foundation is a non-profit educational community driven to teach young innovators technology and entrepreneurship. ACF organizes technology experts and enthusiasts to teach and learn the latest technologies, including Web, AI, Game Development, Robotics, and more. ACF's current flagship program, the Startup Teams, organizes small teams of typically high-school-aged students to plan and execute software projects in service of a community, and/or for competitive entries into entrepreneurship competitions.
