John Schoenfeld has worked in a variety of roles in the manufacturing and military sectors. John began their career in 2009 as a Platoon Leader in the US Army, 3-159th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion. In this role, they were responsible for the operational readiness and employment of eight aircraft, 35 personnel and associated ground support equipment. In 2013, they transitioned to an Army Officer and served as a Company Commander, managing an aviation line company consisting of manned and unmanned aerial systems. John was then promoted to Assistant Operations Manager, where they assisted with the Operations Manager with the synchronization, coordination and execution of all training and contingency operations. John also served as Logistics Manager, responsible for the training, morale and welfare of 1 Line Leader and 1 Junior Personnel.
In 2016, Schoenfeld left the military and joined Eaton as a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor. In this role, they led operations for hourly employees and drove continuous improvements in safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and other cost measures. John then moved to Morbark, LLC as an Industrial Production Manager and Lean Manufacturing, where they managed 6 Supervisors with 9 direct reports and 83 indirect reports covering 6 manufacturing lines. In 2019, they joined Amazon as an Operations Manager, where they managed 5 Area Managers and 550 hourly associates covering an inbound receive dock and product storage. John is currently employed at Applied Dynamics International as a Manufacturing Operations Manager.
John Schoenfeld completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Industrial Technology/Technician from Eastern Illinois University between 2002 and 2006. In 2007, they attended Army Aviation Flight School and obtained their Helicopter Rating in AH-64D Apache Helicopter and Bell TH-67 Jet Ranger Helicopter in 2009. John also completed a Basic Leadership and Management Course in 2009. In 2013, they completed an Expert Leadership and Management Course. Currently, John is attending the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College from 2020 to 2021.
