Amy Ollendorf has extensive work experience in the field of cultural resources and environmental consulting. Amy currently serves as the Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors at Applied EarthWorks, Inc. Since 2018, they have held several roles within the company, including Managing Principal/Principal Paleontologist, Program Manager, Principal Archaeologist, and Interim Managing Principal. Amy previously worked at ALO Environmental Associates, where they were a DBA starting in 2019. From 2005 to 2018, they were the President of ALO Environmental Associates LLC. Amy has also worked at AECOM as a Program Manager, specializing in Cultural Heritage Planning & Management. Amy was responsible for leading a global technical practice group and assisting project managers worldwide. Prior to that, they held positions at the University of Minnesota, Peterson Environmental, HDR, Braun Intertec, Minnesota Historical Society, and Data Recognition Corporation in various roles related to cultural resources and database management.
Amy Ollendorf has an extensive education history. Amy obtained their Ph.D. in Ancient Studies from the University of Minnesota, where they studied from 1987 to 1993. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Ancient Studies at the same institution from 1984 to 1986. Amy also holds a double major in Anthropology (honors) and Geology from Beloit College, which they earned from 1979 to 1983. Additionally, they attended the Hiatt Institute's Archaeological Field School in Israel at Brandeis University in 1981. Amy obtained their high school diploma from Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1979.
In terms of certifications, Amy Ollendorf is a Registered Professional Archaeologist, having received this certification from the Register for Professional Archaeologists in January 2003. Amy also held a license as a Professional Geologist, which expired, obtained from the State of Minnesota in June 1998.
