Steve Thompson

Steve Thompson is an experienced professional with a diverse background in engineering and emergency management. As the Professional Services Director at Applied Engineering, Inc. since October 1999, Steve has contributed to a culture of collaboration and innovation within the employee-owned company. In addition, Steve has served as President of Hazard Cycle Consulting since March 2017, focusing on enhancing emergency preparedness and organizational resilience. Steve has also held an adjunct faculty position at Capella University, specializing in Emergency Management. Prior to these roles, Steve gained practical experience as a firefighter with the Fargo Fire Department and worked as an engineer at both Katun Corporation and NordicTrack. Steve holds a PhD in Emergency Management from North Dakota State University, alongside a Master's in Executive Fire Leadership and a Bachelor's in Industrial Technology.
