Embedded Software Engineer at Applied EV

Mate Szilak has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Mate started their career as an EV Software Engineer at Applied EV in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Function Developer at Knorr-Bremse R&D Center from 2021 to 2022. Mate also gained experience in the financial industry as a Junior Quantitative Developer at Citi from 2020 to 2021 and as a Quantitative Developer intern from 2019 to 2020. Before entering the industry, Mate worked as a SW Developer at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where they contributed to a self-driving go-kart research project. Mate also had SW trainee positions at Robert Bosch GmbH in 2018 and 2019. Mate started their professional journey as a Volunteer at EXPO 2015 S.P.A. in 2015 and as an EVS short-term Volunteer at Legambiente Campania in 2014. Throughout their career, Mate has displayed a strong technical skill set and a commitment to learning and contributing to various projects.

Mate Szilak completed an MSc in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics from 2018 to 2020. In 2018, they also participated in an exchange program at KTH Royal Institute of Technology as a Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering student. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2018, they studied Vehicle Engineering with a focus on Aeronautics, Aviation, and Aerospace Science and Technology at Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
