Viraj Jayasinghe

Viraj Jayasinghe has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as an Embedded Firmware Engineer at Applied EV - Software Defined Machines™ since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Software Engineer at the same company from January to May 2022. Before joining Applied EV, Viraj worked as a Mechatronics Engineer at Mission Foods from July 2021 to January 2022. Viraj also has experience as a Research Support Officer at Monash University from January to October 2021, where they worked on various tasks such as writing drivers for microcontrollers, converting MATLAB code to C, suggesting hardware improvements, and implementing digital signal filtering techniques. Earlier, they served as a Junior Programmer at the Monash Institute of Railway Technology (IRT) from July to December 2020. Another role they held was as a Microfluidics Research Support at Monash University from November 2019 to February 2020, where they developed an automated testing mechanism using electronic circuits and LabView. Viraj's professional journey began at Woolworths Supermarkets, where they worked as a Team Member from November 2016 to April 2018, gaining valuable interpersonal skills and experience in retail operations.

Viraj Jayasinghe obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Monash University in 2020. Additionally, they have obtained two additional certifications: "Serverless and Microservices for AWS" from LinkedIn in February 2020 and "Certified SolidWorks Professional" from DS SolidWorks Corporation in May 2016.
