Adrian Potts

Adrian Potts is the Chief Executive Officer at Applied Graphene Materials. Adrian has over 25 years of experience in the composites industry. Adrian has a proven track record in business development, technical management, and product development.

Adrian began their career in 1990 as Technical Manager at Teledyne CML Group Ltd, where they established a new composites part manufacturing facility. Adrian then moved to Advanced Composites Group Ltd in 1995, where they held various positions over the next seven years, culminating in Director.

In 2002, Adrian became President of Advanced Composites Group, Inc., where they oversaw the development of several groundbreaking products, including the world’s first commercially available graphene-based composite. Adrian continued to lead the company until 2009, when they became President of Umeco Process Materials, Inc. (formerly Richmond Aircraft Products, Inc).

Adrian held this position until 2012, when they joined Cytec Process Materials (CA) Inc as Global Business Development Director. In this role, they were responsible for long range profitable revenue growth, composites consumable materials development, supplier strategy, and integration into the wider Cytec business arena. Adrian left Cytec in 2014 to join Applied Graphene Materials as CEO.

Adrian Potts has a BSc and PhD in Composites from Brunel University London. Adrian also attended Cheadle Moseley Grammar School.
