Joseph Cymerman is a highly experienced professional with a long career in the military and engineering fields. Joseph began their career in 2009 as a Platoon Leader for a Mechanized Sapper Platoon in Charlie Company, 40th Engineer Battalion. In 2010, they were promoted to Executive Officer of a Mechanized Combat Engineer Company in Alpha Company, 40th Engineer Battalion. In 2011, they were selected for a special assignment as an Engineer Instructor/Advisor to the Afghan Army. After completing their assignment in 2014, they joined the 738th Engineer Support Company (Airborne) as Commander. In 2015, they began their Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University School of Engineering. In 2017, they joined West Point Civil and Mechanical Engineering as an Assistant Professor, Autonomous Vehicle Competition Team Capstone Advisor, and Dept. Executive Assistant. In 2020, they started work at Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems as an Assistant Program Manager. Currently, they are employed by Applied Intuition as a Business Development professional and the DCMA - Army Reserve Element, Central Region.
Joseph Cymerman has a diverse educational history. Joseph obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering with Honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2008. Joseph then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2013.
