Sohum Misra is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in robotics and sensor fusion. Currently serving in an engineering role at Applied Intuition since September 2025, Sohum previously held the position of Senior Robotics Software Engineer at Dusty Robotics from April 2021 to September 2025. Sohum's background includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Cincinnati's Robust Intelligent Sensing and Control Lab, where research focused on cooperative localization problems. Prior to that, Sohum gained valuable experience at MathWorks as a Sensor Fusion Engineer, contributing to various projects related to multi-target tracking and autonomous driving from 2018 to 2020. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics from the University of Cincinnati, a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Utah State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Heritage Institute of Technology.
