Soojae J. is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in mechanical and aerospace engineering, currently employed at Applied Intuition since May 2024. Previously, Soojae worked at Apple as a mechanical engineer focusing on 3D vision hardware from May 2023 to April 2024, and at Nuro, where contributions were made to the development of autonomous vehicles for last-mile delivery from August 2021 to 2023. Earlier roles included mechanical engineering positions at Terrafugia, involved in flying car development, and Top Flight Technologies, Inc., where Soojae contributed to hybrid electric-gasoline powered drone technology. A co-founder and team lead of JAYU, Soojae participated in the Boeing-sponsored "GoFly" competition, designing a VTOL aircraft. Additional experience includes roles at Vayu, Inc., Korean Air, and various research assistantships, including work on gas turbine redesign and micro-channel mechanisms. Soojae holds a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University.
