Cal Huffman

Cal Huffman has been working in the manufacturing industry since 2016. Cal began their career at Luk Transmission Systems LLC as a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op in the Brazing Department. During this role, they assisted with testing to improve brazing process, used HMI to set up machines for new parts, used SAP to document tooling/re-tooling and packaging, and installed cameras and safety equipment. In 2017, they took on a new role at Luk Transmission Systems LLC as a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op in the Automatic Bonding Department. During this role, they created, repaired, and installed new parts within work cells to improve production and improve the operator's environment, performed OEE study to evaluate downtime, performed capability study for PPAP, and retaught FANUC robot pick and drop locations. In 2018, they moved to Applied Manufacturing Technologies as an Automation Engineer.

Cal Huffman obtained a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Technology Applied Robotics from Ohio Northern University between 2014 and 2018. In May 2018, they earned an ESWP certification. In January 2022, they earned a Global Robot Specifications Certification (GRS) from Macomb Community College.
