Gopal Prabhu has extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Gopal is currently working at Applied Materials as the Head of Advanced Packaging Business Development. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development at the same company.

Before joining Applied Materials, Gopal worked at Ayala Corporation as the Head of the Transportation Business Unit. Gopal was responsible for P&L and Business Development, implemented new solar auxiliary power solutions, and developed strategic business relationships.

Gopal also has experience as the Vice President of Technology & Business Development at Merlin Solar Technologies Inc., where they played a key role in technology transfer and new product introduction.

Gopal Prabhu earned a B.Tech. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi in 1991. Gopal then went on to complete a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin from 1991 to 1996. Later, from 2006 to 2009, they pursued an MBA at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, specializing in Business.
