Karen van Horn

Karen Van Horn is a seasoned events professional with extensive experience in managing global meetings and events. Currently serving as the Global Meetings and Events Manager at Applied Materials since October 2011, Karen oversees logistics for a variety of programs, both internal and external. Previously, Karen held a similar role at Applied Materials from October 2000 to February 2009, successfully producing over 100 programs annually while staying on time and under budget. Earlier in their career, Karen was the General Manager at Bon Appetit Management Company from 1989 to 2000, where significant growth was achieved, expanding operations from one cafe to eleven and generating annual revenues of up to $4 million with a workforce of over 85 employees. Karen holds an Associate of Science degree in Restaurant Management from West Valley College, completed in 1982.
